On June 13th, Ambassador Guo Haiyan was invited to attend the general conference of the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Guyana. Counselor Li Hanqing with responsibility for economic and commercial affairs and the outgoing Counselor Hu Hanming, as well as representatives of association members also attended. The meeting elected the new president,vice presidents, secretary general and council members, admitted new membership.
Ambassador Guo recognized the efforts and achievements of the association in her speech, congratulated the newly elected and newly admitted members, encouraged the new leadership to further enhance service of the association, to made greater contributions to the local economic and social development as well as high-quality Belt and Road cooperation between China and Guyana.
The Association of Chinese Enterprises in Guyana was established in 2013, with members’ business covering oil and gas, large-scale infrastructure, information technology, agriculture and forestry, mining, trade and other fields.
