On June 14th, "Training Course on Agricultural Products Processing in Guyana", sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and organized by the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences(CATAS) was officially launched. Mr. HU Hanming, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Guyana, Anyin Choo, Ambassador of Guyana to China, Mr. Asraf Narine, Narian, Agriculture Business Development Manager of Guyana Marketing Corporation, Ms. Grace Paris, Manager of Agro-Processing Facility of Guyana School of Agriculture, Mr. WANG Jinqiang, Director of Outward Investment and Economic Cooperation Division of Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce, Mr. LIU Kui, Director of International Cooperation Division of CATAS, attended and addressed the virtual opening ceremony.
The one-month training will bring China's advanced technologies and best practices in the field of agro-processing to Guyana. The trainees mainly come from Guyana Marketing Corproration, Guyana School of Agriculture and agro-processing enterprises.
